iChoices

Giving students choices is always important.  Especially when it comes to a student showing mastery of a subject area.  iChoices is a term coined with allowing students to choose how they would like to show the teacher what they know.  Most known in the iPad world; it can easily be used with tablets, laptops, paper, etc.

Often, we as teachers, tell our students to complete a worksheet and this will tell us, the teachers, if the students understands the material.  Some students may do better by creating a video, short animation, slideshow, etc.  I know some of you may be thinking, "I don't have time to grade 30 different ways for my students to show mastery."  I challenge you to try it and see how your struggling students do.  Yes, sometimes in education we have to take the longer route; especially if it helps our customers (students).
